I have been swamped with orders for the last 2 months for pioneer, prairie outfits. It seems many schools are having Pioneer Days and ask the children to dress up for the occasion.
It appears Laura Ingalls outfits will never go out of style. I guess all young girls love the "Little House on the Prairie" show. I am not so young anymore but I still love to watch it.
One change I have made to my oriignal design is to add a contiuous lap to the front of the dress. I had one customer return her outfit and ask me to make the neck opening a little larger as her daughter had trouble getting it over her head. Solution: start inserting a continuous lap in the front of each dress.

Some customers include the matching doll outfit for their little ones. This makes an adorable birthday gift that she is sure to love.

This outfit was an experiment. A customer wanted to try these 2 fabrics together. I was not sure they would look good as I thought it was a bit too busy. But the finished product came out very cute.

This customer wanted a contrasting pinafore. She was afraid white would get dirty too quickly. I was able to locate the exact color yellow/gold that matches the center of the daisies on the dress and bonnet.

So even though I have been busy, my customers have come up with some creative ideas to keep me from becoming bored!!
